In standard subtractive synthesis, filters or low-pass gates are used to remove harmonic content from a waveform. In this video we tried an alternative method of creating a low-pass gate effect by adding harmonics to a sine wave while simultaneously opening a VCA. The patch used the sine wave output from a Tiptop Audio Z3000 patched in parallel through the Abstract Data Reactive Shaper and the Doepfer A-116 VC Waveform Processor then both outputs to the 4MS VCA Matrix.
