The brownshoesonly video scanner is easiest to think of as a 4 input video crossfader. a signal at the scan input operates as your "cv" value. when a lfo is patched, the output sees a sequential crossfade of inputs like this 1,2,3,4,3,2,1. step sequencing the scan input will allow you to pick and choose which signal is shown at each step. more interesting results come from patching more advanced patterns and processed camera feeds into the scan. or even multing the output back to an input.
