Bubblesound Instruments LvL+rm

The LvL+rm is a utility module with more than simple utility in mind. The Level Shifting amps can be thought of initially as CV offset controls, for example shifting an incoming +/-5v CV signal fully positive or fully negative. Without anything patched into the inputs, each Level Shifting amp will output a voltage +/-5v on its own. Along with a mult, for example, a single CV can control the parameters of several oscillators, filters, etc, all at once, times four. With a sequential switch, the LvL+rm can be used a four stage bi-polar sequencer.

The “+rm” portion refers to the ring modulator on the bottom of the module, built with the National Semiconductor LM1496 Balanced Modulator/Demodulator chip. This chip was used in the Roland System 100m modular, and is notable for clean and responsive ring mod duties.
