Korg PolySix

Throwback Thursday

The KORG Polysix is a warm luscious synthesizer that was released in 1981 as an affordable option to the Jupiter 8 and Dave Smith / Oberheim units available at the time.

The Polysix featured six voices of polyphony with a built in chorus and ensemble effect that enhances the warmth. Quite possibly one of the warmest synthesizers that is out there and does not have MIDI capabilities due to the time of release.

They are hard to find in working condition and quite expensive, however there is a Legacy option by KORG that offers a software version of the Polysix and some other legacy synthesizers.
